Bartels - Opperman marriage - 1918

Last Thursday at the Lutheran church occurred the marriage of Miss Ida Opperman to Mr. Otto Bartels, Rev. Fritschel officiating. The bridal couple were attended by Miss Gartrude Opperman, sister of the bride, and Miss Laura Bartels, sister of the groom, and Mr. Arno Strobeck and Mr. Elmer Bartels, brother of the groom. The bride is the eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. D. Opperman, of this place. The groom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. August Bartels, of Volga. Mr. and Mrs. Bartels will soon commence housekeeping on the Bartels farm near Volga.
