At the suburban home of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Hupfer, on Wednesday, Jan. 02, 1918, occurred the marriage ceremony uniting their oldest daughter, Miss Mabel and Mr. Elmer Franck. Rev. H. Briscoe Hull, of the Congregational church, officiated. Little Edna Franck, niece of the groom, was flower girl. The bride's sister, Marie, and the groom's brother, Arthur, were the attendants, and Miss Edna Franck was also ring bearer. The groom is the second son of Mr. and Mrs. Gustave Franck and is associated with his father as contractor and builder. The new couple will live in a new home under construction and adjoining the home of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Hupfer. Those from out of town in attendance at the wedding were: Mr. and Mrs. Walter Franck and daughter Edna, of Oak Park, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. R. H. Haberichter, of LaPorte City, Ia.; Beryl Hupfer, Clinton, Ia.; there were present four generations of Hupfers.
