At Immanuel's Lutheran church in Elport, Saturday, June 16th, occurred the wedding of Miss Ida Freitag, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Freitag of Garber, and Francis Gloden, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Gloden of Wheeling, Ill. The Rev. F. E. Damm officiating. The bride was escorted by her brother Glendor. Miss Eunice Zittergruen of Garber was bridesmaid and Hiram Zittergruen attended the groom as best man. After the ceremony a wedding dinner was served at the bride's sister, Mrs. Emil Zittergruen. Mrs. Gloden has been employed in Chicago for some time and Mr. Gloden also has employment there, being an experienced aviator of high standing.
(Note: There followed a long list of out-of-town guests. Those of apparent relation to the bridal couple were: Mrs. L. Gloden, mother of the groom, and Miss Rose Gloden, sister of the groom, of Wheeling, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. Glendor Freitag, of Elkader; Henry Freitag, of Garnavillo; William Freitag, Garber; Mr. and Mrs. Emil Zittergruen and family, of Garber.)
