Monday afternoon, Nov. 18, at the Little Brown church at Nashua, occurred the marriage of Miss Verna Lucille Stamp, of this place, and Howard Elwell, of Warsaw, N.Y. Rev. Kent, the pastor, officiated. The bride graduated from our public school in 1923, after which she took up teaching and later clerked in stores. The groom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Merritt Elwell, of Warsaw, N.Y., and comes a stranger to our people, but comes highly recommended. After a short trip to Waterloo, they returned to this place where they expect to make their future home.

Clayton County Register, Thur., 28 Nov. 1929. Strawberry Point column.
