Friends were surprised Saturday when it leaked out that Mrs. Mary Jackson and Frank Wilder motored to Nashua, Thursday, August 1, and were united in marriage at the Little Brown Church. Rev. McCorison, the pastor, officiating. The bride came here in 1927 from Burnley, Lanshire, England, and has made her home with her sister, Mrs. A. Cunliffe, with the exception of nine months at Los Angeles, Calif. The groom is a son of Mrs. Sarah Wilder. He graduated from the Strawberry Point High School and U.I.U. at Fayette. Later he took up teaching in the rural schools, and several years ago was one of the teachers of the local school. The newlyweds will make their home on the Wilder homestead west of town, where the groom is engaged in farming.
