Niehaus - Glass marriage - 1929

NIEHAUS, GLASS, SCHUCHMAN

Miss Emma E. Glass, of this place, and Louis A. Niehaus, of Arlington, were married at the Emmanuel's Lutheran church last Thursday, Rev. M. O. Jahr officiated. The couple were attended by Miss Ruth Glass, of Monticello, sister of the bride, and Raymond Niehaus, of this place, brother of the bridegroom. Mrs. Theodore Schuchman, sister of the bridegroom, played the wedding march. The couple left on a two week motor honeymoon thru Colorado and Kansas. The bride is the youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Glass. She graduated from the Strawberry Point High School in 1927, and has taught school in Fayette for two years. The bridegroom is the oldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Niehaus, of this place, and since graduating from Strawberry Point High School in 1926, has taught school for two years in Clayton and Fayette counties. At present he is employed as clerk in the Bates Grocery Store at Arlington.
