Simmons - Gallentine
A very pretty home wedding was solemnized, Sunday, Aug. 23rd, when Miss Ruth Simmons, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Newman Simmons, was united in marriage to Mr. Charles V. Gallentines, of Van Cleve, Iowa. The attendants were Miss Myrtle Petermeier and Mr. L. E. Mason, of Van Cleve. Rev. Wm. W. Maxwell of the Congregational church officiated. Miss Simmons graduated from Strawberry Point High School in the class of 1918 and the following five years taught school at Dawson, Van Cleve and Oneida. For the past year she was employed as clerk in the Talcott & Co. store. Mr. Gallentine is a skilled automobile mechanic and owns the garage at Van Cleve. They will be at home after Sept. 15th at Van Cleve, Iowa.
