Flavin - Gifford marriage - 1900

Monday morning at St. Joseph's church at this place, occurred the marriage of Mr. Michael J. Flavin and Miss Lucetta Gifford, Rev. J. F. Reilly officiating. The bridal party was attended by Patrick Cassidy and Miss Agnes O'Brien. The groom is a stone mason in the employ of Stoops & Williamson, while the bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Gifford, of Elkader. The couple left Monday for a visit at Mason City with the groom's relatives, and on their return will settle down to the realities of life in a portion of Dr. White's brick house.
