At St. Joseph's church, Tuesday morning, Feb. 27th, Michael J. Hanlon and Miss Annie D. O'Brien were united in marriage, Rev. J. F. Reilly officiating. The groom is in the employ of A. D. Altschul of this place, and is favorably known to our readers. The bride is a daughter of John O'Brien, of Cox Creek twp., and has resided at Elkader for several years. Mr. and Mrs. Hanlon left for a visit at Preston, Minn., and on their return will go to housekeeping in the James Keleher residence on the east side.
