Edgewood: The marriage of Miss Nina Bassett, eldest daughter of Mr. Charles Bassett of Edgewood, to William Refle, son of Mrs. Lena Refle of Littleport, was solemnized at the Rev. C. H. True home on Monday evening, Aug. 28. Those attending the ceremony were the bride's father, C. H. Bassett, her aunt, Mrs. Clara Platt, of Fayette,, and the groom's mother, Mrs. Refle and Miss Mabel True.
After the ceremony the party went to the home of the Bassett's, where refreshments were served to to the bridal couple and the following relatives: Sarah and Harry Refle, sister and brother of the groom; Mr. and Mrs. Jim Brink and two children, and Leon Dohrer of Volga City; Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Miller of Strawberry Point; Mr. and Mrs. Herman Bassett and three daughters, Mrs. Sophia Smith, Mrs. Kenneth Bassett and Miss Ruth Bassett.
Miss Nina was married on the 49th wedding anniversary of her aunt, Mrs. Clara Platt, and the 79th wedding anniversary of her Basset grandparents.
