Backhaus - Mohning marriage - 1933

Miss Evangeline Mohning, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Mohning of Garnavillo became the bride of Ernie Backhaus, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Backhaus of Garnavillo. The ceremony was conducted by Rev. G. Bunge of St. Peter's church at 2 o'clock, Wednesday afternoon, in the presence of a number of relatives. After a brief honeymoon trip the young couple will be at home on the Backhaus farm south of Garnavillo.
