The following account of the Waring and Quinn wedding (The latter a son of Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Quinn of this place), appeared in Sunday's Dubuque Telegraph-Herald and Times Journal.
"One of the prettiest June weddings in this city was that of Miss Edith Dreppard Waring, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Waring, 300 Bluff Street, to John T. Quinn, this city, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Quinn of Strawberry Point, Iowa, which was solemnized yesterday (Saturday) morning at the Cathedral. Rev. Father E. J. Dougherty, pastor, officiated. The bridal party was led by Miss Delores Quinn and Kenneth Quinn, sister and brother of the bridegroom. The maid of honor, Miss Ann Waring, Chicago, preceded the bride and groom. During the service Louis (Pat) Lagen, a cousin of the bride, sang appropriate music. The honeymoon will be spent motoring to the Dells of Wisconsin, St. Paul and Minneapolis, and after July 15, the newlyweds will be at home at 330 Bluff Street. Mrs. Quinn is a graduate of Dubuque High School and is a proof reader at the Telegraph Herald and Times-Journal. Out of town guests at the wedding were Mr. and Mrs. T. F. Bushing, Washington, D.C.; Cyril Waring, Las Veges, N.M.; Misses Anne Waring, Genevieve and Georgia Lagen, Chicago; Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Quinn and daughters, Misses Julia and Delores, Strawberry Point; Mr. and Mrs. Leo Boland, Elkader; Mr. and Mrs. Harry Quinn and daughter Lucille, Edgewood; Leo Roach, Elkader."
