FROM TURKEY RIVER
Special Dispatch to the Dubuque Times.
TURKEY RIVER, IOWA, May 22Three men, two Haines brothers, and another one whose name is not known, broke jail at Prairie du Chien last Monday night about 10 o’clock, stole a skiff and are supposed to have gone down the river. They were confined there last fall for thieving. Haines number one is about 48 years of age, bald headed, has a prominent nose, is 5 feet 10 inches high, of sandy complexion, and has a heavy sandy moustache. Number two has a very strong family resemblance. Number three is of light complexion, had a few hairs on his upper lip intended for a moustache, is six feet high and weighs 200 pounds. Officers are in vigilant search of them, but as yet no certain trace of them has been found.
