Tuesday morning at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. H. Crowe at this place, occurred a quiet, pleasant affair. It was the marriage of their daughter, Williette H. to Mr. Herbert G. Cook, of Milwaukee. Rev. J. G. Dickey officiated. The groom is well known to our readers as being the former owner of the Argus. He is now employed in one of the offices of the engineering department of the C.M. & St.P., at Milwaukee. The bride is a most worthy young lady. Having been in our employ for the past few years we can only speak in the highest terms of her reliable, faithful work. We extend our heartiest congratulations and best wishes to Mr. and Mrs. Cook. They departed Tuesday noon for their home at Milwaukee.
Elkader Register & Argus, Thur., 24 Sept. 1908.
