The Dubuque Times of Sunday has the following regarding the marriage of a Clayton county girl. "The parsonage of Immanuel church was the scene of a pretty wedding Wednesday evening when Miss Carrie Kahrs, of Mederville, Ia., and Glen C. Elmer were married by Pastor Ficke. The young couple were attended by Mr. and Mrs. Claude Sheffield. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John
Kahrs, of Mederville, and is prominent in the social life of her home city. Mr. Elmers, who is in the employ of the Chicago, Milwaukee & St. Paul railway, is a promising and popular young man. Mr. and Mrs. Elmers will make their home in Dubuque.

(Note: The surname Elmer / Elmers was spelled both ways in the article, as shown here.)
