Thiese - Geuder marriage - 1927

The marriage of Miss Hulda Geuder, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Geuder, Sr., of Guttenberg, and Reuben Thiese, son of Mrs. Minnie Thiese of Clayton township, took place at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran church in this city on Wednesday morning of last week, Rev. Emil Lehne performing the marriage ceremony in the presence of relatives and friends. Miss Christine Thiese, sister of the groom, and Mr. Herman Geuder, cousin of the bride, acted as attendants. The bride is a graduate of the Guttenberg high school and for the past few years has been successfully engaged as a school teacher in the rural schools of Clayton county. The groom is a progressive young farmer. Mr. and Mrs. Thiese are both members of the choir at St. John's church. They departed on a wedding trip and after their return they will reside on a farm near Gutenberg.
