Kemp - Payne marriage - 1927

Miss Alice Payne, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Steven T. Payne, of Fayette, and Mr. Cecil Kemp, son of Mr. Albert Kemp, of Des Moines, were united in marriage by Rev. Kilbourn, at the Congregational parsonage at Elkader, on Saturday afternoon. The couple was attended by Miss Marian Barber and Mr. Irvin Smith, both of Guttenberg, friends of the couple. The bride has been engaged as a teacher in the Guttenberg public schools. The groom has been engaged as principal of the Junior public high school here for the past year. Mr. and Mrs. Kemp will reside in Guttenberg.
