Sutton - Splies marriage - 1927

On Thursday afternoon, January 27, at the home of Wm. Splies, occurred the marriage of Miss Ruth Splies and Mr. Clifford Sutton. The groom's home is at Delhi, Delaware county, but he has been in this community the past three years. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Sutton of Delhi. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Splies. The young couple will make their home on the Wm. Splies farm about two and one half miles south of Garnavillo. Those present at the wedding were: Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Sutton, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Splies and son Jacob, Mrs. Carrie Wirkler and Mrs. Louise Meyer.
