Grove - Balluff marriage - 1927

Last Friday evening at the Congregational parsonage occurred the wedding of Miss Mildred Orvetta Balluff, of this place, and Mr. Homer Burdette Grove, of Spirit Lake. Rev. W. W. Maxwell performed the ceremony. They were unattended, the witnesses being the bride's parents and brother, Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Balluff and Burton, and Rev. and Mrs. Maxwell. Miss Balluff graduated from the public school in 1922. She was relief telephone operator for a year and a half, and for the past year has been chief operator. The groom is the only son of Contractor and Mrs. E. H. Grove of Spirit Lake. Mr. and Mrs. Grove will be at home after Jan. 10th to their many friends at Spirit Lake.
