Miss Ethel Jane Richardson, oldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ross Richardson, was united in marriage at the home of her parents Tuesday morning to Dr. Glenn J. Meier of Clarion, Iowa. Rev. George Vollmer of Lost Nation, brother-in-law of the groom, performed the ceremony. Those present at the ceremony were the families of the bride and groom: Miss Phyllis Wilke, Mr. and Mrs. R. K. Alderman, of Nevada, Iowa; Dr. Edmund Stanton of Chariton, Iowa, former classmate of the groom at the University of Iowa in the school of dentistry; Mrs. L. D. Daly of Milford, Iowa and Rev. and Mrs. Geo. Vollmer of Lost Nation, Iowa.
Tuesday the young couple departed on a wedding trip to Minneapolis and St. Paul where they will visit with relatives, after which they will make their home at Clarion, Iowa, where the groom is practicing dentistry.
The bride was born here and is a graduate of the local high school. The groom is also a graduate of the Elkader High School. Both attended the Iowa State University at Iowa City and up until last summer the bride has been teaching, while the groom has built up a good practice for himself in dentistry at Clarion, Iowa.
