Last Tuesday at the Sacred Heart church at Cox Creek Rev. Father V. Casy spoke the words that joined Mr. James Welch of Oelwein and Miss Alice Ivory in holy wedlock. They were attended by Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Henry, a brother-in-law and sister of the bride. A reception was held at the home of the bride's brother, D. J. Ivory. Five nieces of the bride acted as waiters: Ellen Ivory, Alice and Margaret Henry, Georgia Ivory and Genevieve Tinker. The happy couple left that afternoon for their future home in Oelwein.

Elkader Register & Argus, Thur., 21 Aug. 1919. Strawberry Point column. Condensed.
