Meyer - Glesne marriage - 1919

February 25, at the home of Mrs. Anna Glesne, occurred the marriage of her daughter, Milda Carla, to Clifton J. Meyer of Giard. Rev. C. H. Franke of the Evangelical Lutheran church officiated. The couple were attended by Ruth Allen, friend of the bride, and Erwin Meyer, brother of the groom. The bride graduated from Elkader High School. She was for a short time employed on the Register staff. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Meyer of Giard. Mr. and Mrs. Meyer took the noon train for Chicago where they will visit for a time, after which they will be at home on their farm at Giard, Ia. Among those who attended the wedding were Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Meyer, of Giard, and Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Meyer, of Postville.
