Wednesday, July 2nd, Lloyd Ernst and Miss Lottie Splies worked something of a surprise on their friends by hiring an auto, and, accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Fred Splies, slipped away to Castalia, where the Lutheran pastor united them in marriage, and are now at home on a farm near Castalia. Miss Lottie has been clerk at Splies & Sons' for the past sixteen years and was prominent in church work and musical circles.
