Ruegnitz - Stemmer marriage - 1907

At the residence of Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Stemmer, in Elkader, occurred the marriage of their daughter Ida to Mr. Bernard Ruegnitz, of Dubuque. Rev. F. Leonhard, of the German church, officiated. The bride is a graduate of the regular and post-graduate courses of the Chicago Musical College, and last year she was Professor in Music at Graceland College of Lamoni, Ia. The groom is a member of the drug firm of Berg & Ruegnitz at Dubuque. After the ceremony the young couple journeyed to Dubuque, where they have a home prepared on West Locust Street. Guests of apparent relationship shown as attending the wedding were: Mr. and Mrs. Aug. Ruegnitz, of Dubuque; Mrs. Max Ruegnitz and Miss Ruegnitz, of McGregor; Mr. C. S. Stemmer, of Chicago.
