White - Jennings marriage - 1916

On the evening of Thursday, February 24th, occurred the marriage of Miss Grace Jennings, oldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Jennings, to Mr. Sidney J. White, son of Mr. and Mrs. E. W. White, of Volga, Rev. Neilsen, pastor of the M.E. Church, performing the ring ceremony. The bridal couple were accompanied by Miss Ruth White, sister of the groom, and Mr. Theron Jennings, brother of the bride. Mr. and Mrs. White left the next morning on a trip, expecting to be in Des Moines in season to help in celebrating the sixteenth wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. L. P. Phillips. On their return they expect to go to housekeeping on his mother's farm, east of town. Sidney and Grace are well known here as they have always lived in this community.
