Davis - Schoentag marriage - 1916

On Tuesday evening, February 22nd, at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. S. F. Schoentag, occurred the marriage of their daughter Anna to Lloyd Davis. Only a few of the relatives and close friends of the couple were present to witness the ceremony, which was performed by Rev. Graf, of the German Lutheran Church. The bride was born and grew to womanhood in this vicinity. She is a graduate of the local high school of the class of 1914 and has been engaged as teacher in the country schools the past year. The groom is a son of Mrs. Lucy Davis, and was born and raised in this community. He has been employed at Morristown, Minn., the last three winters and has rented a farm near that place and will take his bride there about the first week of March.
