The marriage of Miss Rebecca Masuen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. M. Masuen of Garnavillo, to Mr. Clem Meder, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ed. Meder of Elkader, was solemnized with High Mass at St. Joseph's church at Garnavillo, Thursday morning at 8:30 o'clock, Father H. Sharphoff officiating.

The couple, unattended, entered the church to the strains of Mendelssohn's Wedding March played by Miss Marguerite Meehan, niece of the groom. The three sisters of the groom sang the nuptial mass and Mr. Louis Conlon of Dubuque sang the offertory.

The bride's gown was designed of black satin moire trimming. She wore a large black hat, and a corsage of pink tea roses. Following the ceremony a number of guests were entertained at breakfast at the home of the bride's parents. Mr. and Mrs. Meder then departed on their wedding trip to Western Iowa, stopping off long enough to have supper with Wilford, a brother of the bride. They returned Sunday and were given a warm reception by friends and neighbors at the Meder farm near Clayton, where they will make their home.

The bride has successfully conducted a restaurant at Garnavillo for several years, and has, through courteous and efficient service, won high praise from her patrons. The groom is a prosperous farmer. Both are popular young people and have the best of wishes from the community on their wedded journey.
