Friends were surprised last Thursday to learn of the marriage of Dr. R. C. Grimm and Miss Hazel E. Easton who were away on their vacation were quietly married at Hackensack, Minn., Monday, Aug. 23rd. Rev. Amiel Hermann, pastor of the M.E. church officiated. They were attended by Dr. and Mrs. E. R. Withell of Elkader. The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Easton and after graduating from the local school with the class of 1920 she accepted a position as stenographer in the State Bank. She is a young lady of marked ability and took an active part in the social affair of the M.E. church. The groom came here from Anamosa a few months ago and has gained many friends. He is a graduate of the Palmer School of Chiropractic at Davenport. Dr. and Mrs. Grimm are home receiving congratulations from their hosts of friends. They will be at home after September 10th in rooms of the A. McGarvey house on Elkader street.
