Guttenberg: Miss Juanita Schweikert, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Schweikert of Guttenberg, and Mr. Carl J. Kann, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Kann, also of Guttenberg, were married by the Rev. J. A. Dupont at St. Mary's Catholic church in Guttenberg Wednesday morning, May 5th, at 6 o'clock, in the presence of near relatives. The couple was attended by Mr. and Mrs. E. A. Felder, uncle and aunt of the bride.
After the marriage ceremony at the church a reception was tendered the newlyweds at the home of the bride's parents, only near relatives participating. A wedding breakfast was served.
The bride is a graduate of Guttenberg high school and also took a nurses' training course at La Crosse, Wis. She also completed a course in beauty culture and taught in the rural schools of this county for a time. The groom is one of Guttenberg's progressive young business men, operating a general store here. Both Mr. and Mrs. Kann also have good musical educations. They will make their home here.
