Another couple went away last Thursday to Edgewood and were married by Rev. Artman, pastor of the M.E. church. Mr. Glen Carroll and Miss Emma Alderson were the contracting parties, and were accompanied by Miss Emma Haufle, and Mr. Harold Carroll, brother of the groom. After the ceremony the young people returned to the home of the groom's parents where dinner was served. The newlyweds then left for Kansas City, where the groom is employed as a wireless telegrapher, and which place will be their future home. The bride is the youngest daughter of mayor and Mrs. J. H. Alderson, and has lived in this community all her life. She graduated from the local High School, and entered the U.I.U. at Fayette, where she graduated from the conservatory of music, and for some time taught a music class in this city. It was while attending school here that the romance started. The groom is the oldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Carroll. He entered the World War, taking up wireless telegraphy, and was overseas. May their path through life be strewn with roses is the wish of their many friends.
