Lau - French marriage - 1949

Arlene French, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roy French, became the bride of Don Lau, son of Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Lau of Waterville, on Dec. 21, at the Little Brown Church at Nashua. The Rev. Hanscom performed the double ring ceremony at 1:30.

Darlene Patterson of Wadena, former college roommate of the bride, acted as bridesmaid, and Gerald Lau served his brother as best man.

Mrs. Lau graduated from Elkader high school and attended Upper Iowa University. Her husband graduated from Waterville high school and served eighteen months in the Army.

After a short trip the couple will be at home in Fayette, where Mr. Lau is attending school. Mrs. Lau will continue teaching in a rural school near there.
