Bries - Mueller marriage - 1949

Miss Florentina Mueller, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herman L. Mueller of Garnavillo, became the bride of Les Bries, son of Mrs. Susan Bries of Luxemberg, at a double ring ceremony performed at 8:30 o'clock Tuesday morning, Oct. 11, at St. Joseph's church in Garnavillo. The Rev. Ickel officiated at the nuptial mass.

Acolytes were Alois Berns, Lavern Haas, Robert DeSotel, and Robert Leighton.

Miss Ann Bries, twin sister of the bridegroom, was bridesmaid, and Herman Mueller, brother of the bride, was best man.

Following the ceremony a wedding breakfast was served to the bridal couple at the Riverside Café in Guttenberg. Dinner and supper were served to 50 guests at the home of the bride. In the evening a shower dance was given at Lakeside Ballroom in Guttenberg.

The bride is a graduate of St. Joseph's school in Garnavillo. The bridegroom is a graduate of Holy Trinity school in Luxemberg.

The couple will be at home on a farm at Luxemberg.
