Miss Joan Garaghty, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas A. Garaghty, Elkader, became the bride of Milo Doser, son of Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Doser, St. Anthony, at a nuptial mass celebrated at 10 o'clock a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph's Catholic church in Elkader. The Rev. J. Blackburn read the double ring service. James Auer, cousin of the bride, and Jimmy Cassutt served as alter boys.
The bride's sister, Mrs. Raymond Troester, was her only attendant. Louis Doser, St. Anthony, attended his brother as best man. Robert and Greg Auer of Garnavillo, cousins of the bride, were the ushers.
Following the ceremony a dinner was served to the wedding party and thirty guests at Club 13. A reception was held in the afternoon for a hundred guests at the home of the bride's parents.
The bride is a graduate of St. Joseph's high school, Elkader, and for the past year has been taking nurse's training at Mercy hospital, Marshalltown. Her bridegroom is a graduate of St. Anthony high school and has since been engaged in farming.
The couple left in the afternoon on a wedding trip to points in Wisconsin and Minnesota. They will be at home on the bridegroom's farm at St. Anthony after Sept. 15.
Guests from a distance who attended the wedding were: Mrs. Theo. Doser, Lawrence Doser, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Bayant, Mrs. Roy Hillman, Mrs. Lewis Doser, all of St. Anthony; Mrs. Lawrence Doser, Melbourne; Mrs. B. Reigel, Clermont.
