The marriage of Miss Elaine Broessel and Glenn Drahn took place Sunday afternoon, July 10, at 3 o'clock in the Methodist church, Monona. The Rev. Roscoe C. Jerrell performed the double ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Isaac Russell, Monona, and the bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Glendor Drahn, Monona. The bride was given in marriage by her brother, George I. Broessel, of Davenport.
Miss Shirley Bergeson, of Fort Dodge, served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Miss Jane Tabor, of Baldwin, and Miss June Horst, of Mt. Morris, Ill. C. Gene Kuehl, Elkader, was best man. The two groomsmen were Robert Messerli and Lloyd Messerli, both of Manchester. Lloyd Drahn and Robert Drahn, as ushers, completed the bridal party.
Following the wedding ceremony a reception of 150 guests was held in the church parlors.
After the reception the bridal couple left for Lake Okoboji for a week's honeymoon. They will be at home in Monona until September, when they will return to school at the State University of Iowa at Iowa City.
