Strawberry Point: St. Sebald Lutheran church was the scene of a pretty wedding Thursday afternoon, June 23, when Miss Marilyn Baumgartner, younger daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Martin Baumgartner, became the bride of Dr. Kenneth N. Andersen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Chris Andersen of Missouri Valley. The Rev. Robert E. Glaser officiated the double ring ceremony.

Miss Baumgartner's attendant was Mrs. H. M. Andersen, sister-in-law of the bridegroom, and Dr. H. M. Andersen served his brother as best man. Ushers for the wedding were Erwin and Norman Baumgartner, brothers of the bride.

Following the ceremony a reception was held at the home of the bride's parents for 40 guests. Mrs. L. H. Neumann and Mrs. Theodore Falck, aunts of the bride, were hostesses.

The bride is a graduate of the Strawberry Point high school and at present is a student at the University of Iowa school of nursing. The bridegroom is a graduate of Missouri Valley high school. He attended the University of Iowa in 1942-1943, served in the army from June, 1943, until March, 1946; attended the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia in 1944-1945 and the Johns Hopkins school of medicine from 1945 to 1949, from which place he was graduated on June 14, 1949. He is a member of Nu Sigma Nu fraternity.

Guests from away who attended the wedding were: Mr. and Mrs. Chris Andersen, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Nelson and Mary Ann, Missouri Valley; Mr. and Mrs. Norman Baumgartner, Waverly; and Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Steinberg, St. Ansgar.

Dr. and Mrs. Andersen will take a short wedding trip to Minnesota and will reside in Iowa City.
