Strawberry Point: Betty Ann Bieber became the bride of Leon T. Goodell, son of Mr. and Mrs. Tom Goodell of Lansing, at an 8 o'clock ceremony at the Methodist church on Sunday Evening. Nuptial music was furnished by Miss Arleen Shogren, Waukon, cousin of the bride. Miss Shogren also accompanied Miss Janice Brockmeyer as she sang "Because" and "Through the Years."
Attendants were Miss Esther Goodell of Lansing, sister of the bridegroom, as maid of honor; Miss Donna Hager of Waukon, cousin of the bride and Mrs. Howard Robbins as bridesmaids. The best man was Gene Yeoman of Lansing, and other groomsmen were Keith Hager of Waukon and Howard Robbins of Strawberry Point. James Bieber of New Hampton and LeRoy Schmidt of Strawberry Point were ushers.
The bride was graduated from Strawberry Point high school in 1947 and has been employed in Jessen's Market. The bridegroom was graduated from the Lansing high school in 1944 and served two years in the army in the Philippines.
After a short wedding trip the home will be made in Strawberry Point.
