Rethmeier - Petras marriage - 1949

Miss Karoline Petras, Peiting, Bavaria, Germany, became the bride of Russell Rethmeier, son of Mr. and Mrs. August Rethmeier of Littleport, on Saturday, Jan. 22, at 2 o'clock in the Hope Lutheran church with the Rev. W. G. Weber officiating.

Mrs. Lawrence Lewin was matron of honor, while Lawrence Lewin served as best man. Guests included: Mr. and Mrs. Art Wolter, Luana; Susan Liddy, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Lewin, Mrs. Harold Jones, Duane Rethmeier, Mr. and Mrs. August Rethmeier and the bridal couple.

In the evening a shower dance was held at Communia Hall with a large attendance, Betty Jones and Iona Beck had charge of the gifts. The new home will be made on a farm near Littleport.
