The marriage of Miss Lavon Conboy, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. T. E. Conboy, and Shubael White, the son of Mrs. E. W. White, took place at Sacred Heart church at 6 o'clock Monday morning, June 16. The ceremony was performed by Rev. Father Hetherington.

The bridal couple were attended by Miss Donna Humphrey of Elkader and Edward Finley of this city.

The bride wore a gown of white georgette crepe trimmed with black lace and white moire hat. The bridesmaid's gown was of rose georgette crepe. The groom and groomsman wore suits of blue.

At 7 o'clock a wedding breakfast was served to the bridal party and at eleven o'clock a host of relatives and friends partook of a three course wedding dinner served by the Misses Blanche Conboy and Velna L__t_, at the home of the bride's parents. The dining room was attractively decorated with pink crepe paper and yellow roses.

Both parties of this marriage have been residents of Volga City for many years. The bride has been one of the successful rural teachers in this county for the past two years and is an industrious young woman and an ideal home maker in every respect.

The bridegroom is an energetic young man and has successfully operated a dairy business in this city for the past few years. He is well qualified to bring ____________ and success to his home.

Immediately following the dinner Mr. and Mrs. White left on a wedding trip to Waterloo, Cedar Falls, Dyersville and other places.

They expect to make their home in this city where Mr. White will continue his dairy business.
