Hoffman Illegally fishes - 1906

John Hoffman, a Buena Vista fisherman, was arrested last week by Deputy Game Warden Barmeier, of Dubuque, while seining in Spring Lake below Turkey River. His nets were confiscated and destroyed. Hoffman was taken before a justice of the peace, plead guilty of illegal fishing, and was discharged after paying the prescribed fine and costs.
