Elkader Register, Fri., 13 Oct. 1882.

Married- At the residence of the bride's parents, in Elkader, on October 11th, 1882, by Rev. J. S. McIntyre, Mr. S. V. Jack to Miss Grace M. Powell, all of Elkader.

The wedding was a very quiet one, only the immediate relatives and friends of the family being present. After the ceremony and congratulations, came a beautiful repast.

Of both bride and groom it is scarcely necessary for the Register to speak as both have resided in Elkader the greater portion of their lives, and are known and respected by all for their many good qualities and pleasant ways.

They will certainly have the hearty and sincere congratulations of a host of friends. To them the Register would say that it wishes them God speed, may their lives be one continual pleasant summer day, with no sorrows to mar the pleasant dreams.
