Elkader Register, Fri., 9 June 1882.
At the residence of the bride's parents, near Communia, on Tuesday, June 6th, 1882, by S. K. Adams, Mr. David F. Laxon, of Elkport, to Miss Minnie Luers, of Cox Creek township.
This union of "two souls with but a single thought, two hearts that beat as one," was a consummation devoutly to be wished, each being admirably fitted by nature for the other's partner.
The groom is one of Elkport's rising young business men, steady and honest, a young man who has hosts of friends who will wish him great happiness in his new state. The bride is the beautiful and accomplished daughter of Mr. Herman Luers, and has won to herself a large circle of friends, who will join with the Register in wishing her and her husband a long and happy wedded life
