North McGregor, June 26.- Wednesday morning, June 24, in Dubuque at the residence of Archbishop Keane, Rev. Father Barrey officiating, Miss Augusta Ploog of North McGregor and Charles C. Oehring of Elkader were united in the holy bonds of matrimony. They were attended by Mrs. Nannie Godard of Mason City, sister of the bride, and Henry Ploog of North McGregor, uncle of the bride.

The bride and groom were born and raised in North McGregor, and their marriage is the culmination of a long and happy courtship.

The bride is the niece of Engineer Henry Ploog who has been her guardian for several years, only relinquishing his post of duty when he gave her in marriage to one worthy of the trust. She is an excellent young woman, beloved by all.

The groom is a member of the firm of Bayless & Oehring, druggists, Elkader, and Oehring Bros., jewelers, McGregor, and is one of Elkader's most energetic young business men and an honor to the two towns most interested in him.

The young people stole a march on their numerous friends by going to Dubuque to be married, but forgiveness is granted them, and all wish them the traditional good luck through life.

They left Dubuque Wednesday evening for Cedar Rapids and Chicago, and will be gone about two weeks before returning to their home in Elkader.- Dubuque Telegraph.

Elkader Argus, Wed., 1 July 1903.
