Daugherty – Stout, marriage 1870

DAUGHERTY, STOUT, DAVIS, COOK

Married November 3rd, by the Rev. Dr. Bingham, at the residence of the bride’s father, A.W. Daugherty, Esq., of Elkader, and Jennie E. Stout, daughter of H.L. Stout, Esq., of this city. No cards. -Dubuque Times, Nov. 4th, 1870

Mr. and Mrs. H. Timothy Davis, Capt. G. W. Cook and Mitchell Daugherty, of Elkader, were among the few who had the pleasure of witnessing the above nuptial ceremonies. Knowing Mr. Daugherty as we do, we knew him worthy of so valuable a price – an amiable, gifted and accomplished young lady. May neither ever regret this great life event, but happiness prolong their days to a long, long life.
