Married October 27th, 1870, at the residence of the bride’s father, in Garnavillo, Mr. Geo. W. Beach, Esq., by the Rev. B. A. Dean, pastor of the 1st Congregational Church of that place, Mr. Frederick F. King and Miss Isola C. Beach all of Garnavillo.
Years ago we prophesized a bright future for Isola, for she was one of the sweetest, most modest little girls in existence, but who would have thought that she would marry a King! Well we can hardly wonder either, nor now that she has arrived at mature womanhood she has lost none of the graces which endeared her to her friends in years gone by.
We congratulate Isola, for we believe she has chosen well – a worthy, intelligent young man. The kind remembrances by the parties of the fee and that sample of delicious wedding cake which reached up promptly, is thankfully acknowledged, and we bid our friends a happy, prosperous journey through life.
