Married at the Catholic church, in Elkader, on Sunday, February 2nd, 1868, by the Rev. Father Quigley, Mr. Edward Harkins of Fayette county, to Miss Mary McGafferty, of Clayton county, Iowa.

Another one of Clayton County’s fair daughters gone. Mary has wedded well; and our best wishes accompany the happy couple through life. Marriage is so important an event that we publish notices as the above with more than ordinary interest. Mr. and Mrs. Harkins, we hope, will enjoy that peace and comfort through life which will never cause them to regret a union so solemnly bound.
