Married on Wednesday, December 30, 1863, at the residence of the bride’s father, by the Rev. Mr. French, W. E. Keys of Elkader, to Miss Eleanor G. Brown of Clermont.
Such is life! Full of strange events. But a few days ago, Elmore, our young friend was a bachelor. To-day he is a married man. This metamorphosis is unaccountable. Yet, it is so. He of whom we least expected it, has ‘gone and did it.” Shaking off the rust which bachelors are said to gather on themselves, he takes unto him a “helpmate” and begins life anew. It is well.
Elmore was the right Key to unlock the heart of Miss Brown. May that Key ever be bright, and may Mrs. Keys look upon her Key as the best Key in the world. In fine, may there be unceasing happiness and an endless honeymoon for the newly wedded couple.
