COLLINS, CUMMINGS, OLMSTED

Married by the Rev. Mr. Gray of Hardin, on Thursday, November 14, 1861, Oscar Collins and Miss Orpha M. Cummings both of Monona in this county.

We have the good fortune of being intimately acquainted with this young couple and it gives us therefore unbounded pleasure to record their marriage.

The ceremonies took place at the residence of P.P. Olmsted, Esq., in the presence of a number of kind friends and acquaintances and was truly a happy affair. We were present and enjoyed it highly, and we now hope that their life may be like the evening on which they were made “flesh of one flesh and bone of one bone” – one continued sea of happiness.
