Married on the eve of the 29th of September, at Garnavillo, by Rev. L.P. Mathews, Mr. L. W. Scott and Miss M. W. Hillis, of Giard Township.

By vows of love together bound

The twain, on earth are one;

One may their hearts be found,

Till earthly cares are done
