2 Jan 1890 Misses Hala and Emma Hauschen, of Monona, came to town to eat Christmas turkey at home. (Farmersburg)

23 Jan 1890 Board of Supervisors--Mrs. Heuschen $1 per week from Jan. 1, 1890 to June 1, 1890.

27 Feb 1890 Miss IIola Haeuschen of Monona Sundayed at Farmersburg.

27 May 1890 The Misses Halla and Emma Haeschen of Monona were at the Farmersburg home over Sunday.

21 Aug 1890 Mrs. Haeschen has been visiting at Monona for the past week.

22 Jan 1891 Minnie Haeschen is visiting with Decorah friends this week.

26 Mar 1891 Miss Frances Hauschen is visiting at Monona for a few days.

16 April 1891 Misses Mahala and Emma Heuschen of Monona spend Sunday with Farmersburg friends.

30 July 1891 Dr. Clark of McGregor and Dr. Duffin of Garnavillo held a consultation over John Hauschen Sr., last Thurs., and we are pleased to say that Mr. Hauschen is now improved in health.

18 Sep 1896 Miss Mahale Hauschen returned from West Union last Wednesday.

22 Jan 1897 John Hauschen and wife accompanied by her sister Mrs. Meter (sic) of Garnavillo spent several days at Guttenberg this week (Clayton news).

12 Feb 1897 Mahalia Hauschen took the train last Tuesday evening for Independence for a two weeks visit with friends.

21 May 1897 Mrs. J. Hauschen and two little boys spent several days with her sister Mrs. H. Meter (Garnavillo news).

24 Dec 1897 Wednesday evening, Dec. 15, at the home of the bride occurred the marriage of Bert C. Olmsted of Monona and Miss Emma Hauschen of Farmersburg. . . . O. E. Entwishel and George Jenkins Jr. were groomsmen and Miss Cora Olmsted and Miss Frances Hauschen were the bridesmaids. After the ceremony the bridal party and guests retired to the hall where the wedding supper was served. Mr. and Mrs. Olmsted were the recipients of many fine and useful presents. They will make their home with the groom’s parents in Monona Township.

7 Jan 1898 Married: In the M. E. Parsonage on Tuesday, January 4, 1898, Rev. A. B. Fickel officiating, occurred the marriage of Mr. John Reinke and Miss Bertha Hauschen, both of Farmersburg. The young people are favorably known and are are have many friedns bespeak form them a useful life. for industry, amiability, and honestly will make one useful. They will soon at their home two miles north of Farmersburg. We wish them all the good that can be ... one’s privilege to enjoy.

21 Jul 1898 Bert Olmsted and wife of Farmersburg are the guests of their cousin John Hauschen and family for a few days. (Clayton)

28 Jul 1898 While preparing to show a young horse Monday, John Hauschen was kicked on the head, luckily he was near the animal at the time, had he been farther away and not next to the horse, the result would have been fatal. As it is he is merely suffering from a scalp wound.

4 Aug 1898 Frances Hauschen, Bertha and Alma Sickel left for Elkader Monday morning to attend the teachers’ institute.

15 Sep 1898 Miss Mahalia Hauschen who has been quite sick the past 10 days, we are pleased to report, is much better at this writing.

12 Jan 1899 Mrs. Hauschen and daughter Mahala visited with kindred at Luana Sunday.

22 Mar 1899 Mahalia Henrietta Hauschen m. Herman L. Reinke

23 Mar 1899 At the home of the bride’s mother in Farmersberg on Wednesday afternoon March 22, 1899, occurred the pleasing ceremony that united in the bonds of marriage Mr. Herman Reinke and Miss Mahala Hauschen. Reverend A. B. Frikle, of Elkader, officiated in the presence of relatives of contracting parties. The bridge is an esteemed young lady of Farmersburg, while the groom is a prosperous young man possessing a good farm two miles north of Farmersburg. All join in wishing them happy wedded life. The young couple will be at their home near Bismark after March 25.

6 Apr 1899 John Hauschen visited his father at Guttenberg last Sunday, who is seriously ill.

Rev. Sommerslad officiated at the funeral of Mr. Hauschen in Clayton Saturday.

13 Jul 1899 Mrs. John Hauschen and little son visited relatives in Guttenberg Sunday.

12 Oct 1899 Bert Olmsted will move to Monona this week where he has work on the railroad.
