In the name of God amen I James Beaty of the Township of Cox Creek in the County of Clayton, and State of Iowa being of sound mind and memory and considering ? ? ? of this ? and transitory life do therefore make ordain publish and ? this to be my last Will and Testament.
That is to say First after all my lawful debts are paid and discharge the ? of my estate real personal, I give bequeath and dispose of as ? to wit:
To my beloved wife Francis Beaty the interest at ten percent per annum of One thousand dollars during her life time together the use of this house and its premises until is sold The ? Stone and the articles of furniture therein belongings with the other furniture, also one table two beds with the necessary bedding two bedstands six chairs. The ? mare best know as the
"Indian Pony" and one cow and after her death the thousand dollars to be equally divided between my sons William Beaty and James Beaty both being now in California.To my five grand children, James Crane, George Crane, Martin Crane, John Crane, and Eliza Ann Crane the interest at ten percent per annum
of one hundred dollars each until the youngest becomes of lawful age then the principal of the one hundred dollars to be given them.To my daughter Sarah Graham I give bequeath when collected five hundred dollars, to my daughter Margaret ? five hundred dollars, to my son Martin Beaty five hundred dollars, to my son Albion Beaty five hundred dollars.
The balance of the fund which may be left the interest of which shall go to educate the three grandchildren which are now with me to ? Martin Crane, John Crane and Eliza Ann Crane which the said ? shall be equally divided between my lawful heirs ? I make constitute and appoint my son John Beaty and my son-in-law Ebenezer Graham both of JoDaviess County Ill. to be executors of this my last will and testament thereby envoking all former wills by me made
